What's the best way to hang the lamp?
The lantern can be hung in multiple ways - we've even lost count! The easiest way to hang the Flexlight is to wrap it around a pole (or similar support), secure it with the hook, and then direct the light where you want it. But the choice is entirely yours: you can set it up however you like.

What is the white hook at the end of the arm for?
This hook helps secure the lamp once the arm is adjusted and positioned. For example, if you wrap the arm around a pole, you can insert it into the hook to keep the lamp in place. Tip: it can also serve as a handy little accessory to balance the lamp when set up like a traditional lamp.

What's the difference between charging via USB and solar panel?
The speed! USB charging is about 6 times faster than solar charging due to the input power. Whether you're charging via USB or solar energy, the result is the same: a fully charged battery. We recommend using solar energy for a natural source, but in an emergency, USB is still a great alternative.

If it's cloudy, does the lamp still charge?
Yes, but at a slower rate than in clear, sunny weather. The product charges using the red and violet frequencies of visible light; therefore, charging time varies depending on the UV index or the degree of cloud cover. Generally, the higher the UV index, the faster the charge.

Does the lamp charge under indoor lighting?
The sun emits significant amounts of red and violet frequencies (which allow for charging), while regular indoor lighting produces only a fraction. We recommend placing the lamp directly at the source, like on a sunny windowsill or, for optimal results, outside. The Flexlight is tough and fully waterproof.

Do I need batteries?
No. All our products run on solar power and are rechargeable, without needing batteries. No more searching for that second AA battery at the bottom of a drawer!

Will the LEDs ever need replacing?
No, never - except in the case of exceptional damage. Rest assured: our products are designed and made to make accessing or damaging the LEDs very difficult.
